The goal of the Fondation Luxembourg Air Rescue is to support the Luxembourg Air Rescue by supplying material and financial resources. This is only possible thanks to all the donations.

Who is the FLAR?

The Foundation Luxembourg Air Rescue supports the philanthropic and humanitarian activities of the Luxembourg Air Rescue a.s.b.l. in order to save lives and preserve the health of people in medical distress, in Luxembourg, the Great region and all over the world, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The foundation’s duty is to support the Luxembourg Air Rescue with material and financial resources based on donations. The foundation provides functional material required for the appropriate equipment of the helicopter. There are smaller instruments, such as the “Perfusor” which is used to regulate the dosage of medication that is intravenously administered. The helicopter is also equipped with devices like the defibrillator or instruments to realize a blood analysis and many more.

The foundation also provides financial resources for the flying ambulances in order to safely repatriate and transport patients. These resources enable, for example, the acquirement of another aircraft, which is usually unaffordable for an a.s.b.l.

The collected donations are used neither for labour, nor for maintenance costs. The foundation stays the owner of all the acquisitions and places them at the a.s.b.l’s disposal. It also decides autonomously which projects the Foundation is going to support and which not. The governing body works honorary and is being audited every year by public accountants, to ensure that all the contributions are where needed.

All the contributions to the Luxembourg Air Rescue a.s.b.l go straight to the Foundation. Donations to the “Fondation Luxembourg Air Rescue” are tax deductible as long as the annual contribution amounts to 120 € or more.

Can I revoke my testament?

How does the Fondation Luxembourg Air Rescue learn of my last will?
With every death, an inheritance declaration has to be established by a notary, who carries out all the necessary inquiries. Every testament established by a notary or deposited in his study, will be registered at the “Administration de l’Enregistrement”, without revealing the content. This registration facilitates and ensures the pursuing of your last will.
Which type of testament should be chosen?
If it is forseeable that it is your last testament, we recommend you to do it with your notary.
How to keep a testament?
If you chose to do a handwritten testament, we recommend you to deposit it with your notary.
