Devastating fire destroys medical equipment
Following the devastating fire that destroyed almost all the medical equipment of our rescue helicopters and ambulance jets, initial figures on the extent of the damage can now be provided.
According to an initial, preliminary estimate by the LAR experts, the damage amounts to around two million euros. The devastating fire destroyed defibrillators, ventilators and ECG equipment, among other devices. In addition, the baby incubators co-developed by LAR, which are unique in the world and cost approximately 200,000 euros each, were exposed to the fire.
In view of the enormous extent of the damage, LAR is more dependent than ever on donations from the public in this difficult situation.
